How to connect the iPhone to the Jabra Solemate Max

Ensure you have version 1.27 or greater of the Jabra Solemate Max firmware, visit the official Jabra Solemate Max support site [2] to download the latest version. You can switch off the default 'Solemate is connected' announcements by holding down the Volume down button when turning on the Jabra Solemate Max until you hear 'Sound prompts off'.

Instructions on which cable to use to connect the iPhone to the Jabra Solemate Max.

  1. These instructions show you how to hook up the iPhone to the Jabra Solemate Max using a cable to play music. Locate the headphone socket on the top of the phone.
  2. With the speaker turned off locate the line in port on the Jabra Solemate Max. This can be located on the right of the speaker below the power switch.
  3. Connect the headphone socket on the iPhone to the line in on the Jabra Solemate Max port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [3].
  4. Any sounds from the iPhone will stop playing on the phone speaker and play on the Jabra Solemate Max instead.
  5. When the line in port is used the Bluetooth facility will be disabled, you'll hear a "Bluetooth off" announcement and you'll only be able to listen to audio from the iPhone. You can now play audio on the Jabra Solemate Max from the iPhone. [AD]
