How to connect a Beats Pill 2 to the iPad 3

Find out how to power up the iPad 3 with a Beats Pill 2 using the Apple Lightning cable.

1. In order to charge the iPad 3 from a Beats Pill 2 you'll need a USB to Apple 30 pin cable ^[4].
2. Plug the large USB end of the USB to Apple 30 pin cable into the Beats Pill 2. You can find the red USB port by pulling then rotating the rubber port cover marked beatspill on the foot of the Bluetooth speaker.
3. Connect the other end of the USB to Apple 30 pin cable into the dock connector on the iPad 3. The iPad 3 dock connector can be found at the base of the iPad 3.
4. Turn on the Beats Pill 2 and the iPad 3 will start to charge. Typically the Beats Pill battery life at full capacity is around seven hours however charging the iPad 3 may cause this to be much lower.
