These instructions assume you are running Apple iOS 6 or greater on the iPhone 3GS.

  1. In order to charge the iPhone 3GS from a Beats Pill 2 you'll need a USB to Apple 30 pin cable [4].
  2. Plug the large USB end of the USB to Apple 30 pin cable into the Beats Pill 2. You can access the red USB port by pulling and rotating the rubber port cover marked beatspill on the foot of the unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB to Apple 30 pin cable into the dock connector on the iPhone 3GS. The iPhone 3GS dock connector can be found at bottom of the iPhone 3GS.
  4. Turn on the Beats Pill 2 and the iPhone 3GS will start to charge. Typically the Beats Pill battery life after a full charge is roughly seven hours however charging the iPhone 3GS might cause this to be much lower.
