  1. Follow these steps to pair a Beats Pill 2 with the iPad Mini 2. First you need to turn on the Beats Pill 2.0 by holding the power button, hold the 'b' for three seconds until the light quickly flashes. This indicates that the Beats Pill 2 is in pairing mode.
  2. From the home screen on the phone select the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and turn the Bluetooth option on.
  3. Underneath select Beats Pill 2 from the list of nearby devices to connect to the iPad, shortly afterwards it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
  4. You can now play music on a Beats Pill 2 wirelessly from the iPad Mini 2. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application on the iPad which plays audio will bring up a list of devices where you will be able to toggle between headphones, the loudspeaker and a Beats Pill 2. When the speaker has been paired correctly the 'b' logo will glow.   1. These instructions show you how to connect the iPad Mini 2 to a Beats Pill 2 using a cable to play music. Firstly locate the headphone socket at the top right of the tablet.
  2. Make sure the speaker is turned off then locate the IN port found at the rear of the speaker between the OUT port and the power button.
  3. Connect the headphone socket on the iPad Mini 2 to the IN on the Beats Pill 2 port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [4].
  4. From now on any audio from the iPad will stop playing on the loudspeaker and play on a Beats Pill 2 instead.
