A step by step guide on how to pair the iPad Mini to a Beats Pill 2 wirelessly using bluetooth.

  1. The following instructions describe how to pair a Beats Pill 2 with the iPad Mini. First turn on the Beats Pill 2.0 by holding the power button, then press the round 'b' logo for three seconds until the button quickly flashes. This indicates that the Bluetooth speaker is in pairing mode.
  2. On the home screen of the phone open Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and turn on the Bluetooth option.
  3. From the nearby devices list select the Beats Pill 2, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
  4. The Beats Pill 2 and the iPad Mini are now ready to be used to play music. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application on the tablet that can play audio will bring up a list of devices where you will be able to toggle between the headphones, loudspeaker and a Beats Pill 2. When the Bluetooth speaker has been paired the round 'b' will stop flashing and glow. In future you can turn on the Beats Pill and it will automatically connect to the iPad Mini without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the round 'b' to light up. Playing audio on a Beats Pill 2 from the iPad Mini using a stereo phone cable

Instructions on which cable to use to connect a Beats Pill 2 to the iPad Mini.

  1. These instructions show you how to hook up the iPad Mini to a Beats Pill 2 using a cable to play music. First locate the headphone socket at the top of the tablet.
  2. Ensure the Bluetooth speaker is turned off then locate the IN port located at the rear of the speaker between the OUT port and the power button.
  3. Connect the headphone socket on the iPad Mini to the IN on the Beats Pill 2 port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [4].
  4. From now on any sounds from the iPad will stop playing on the iPad speaker and play on a Beats Pill 2 instead.
  5. Turn on the speaker and you will hear music playing from the iPad Mini to the Beats Pill 2. The Beats Pill 2 and the iPad Mini are now connected and can to be used to play audio.
